...and other sites featuring "status updates". I just don't understand this concept. First of all, why do people feel compelled to let all of their friends know exactly what they're doing at all times? I do not care that you ate a cheeseburger, and I do not care what you're watching on TV. I think what boggles my mind more is that people actually have something to say regarding this? Take the following for example: Betty's status update: OMG I think I'm going to make cheeseburgers for dinner! Comments: Bill--> Wow Betty, I like cheeseburgers too! Bob--:> Save some for me! Becky --> i like cheezburgerz Betty --> Wow, thanks you guys! I think I will have cheeseburgers! Bill --> Yeah, cuz they are yummy Betty --> I know, I'm like, going to eat some! Bob --> Yeah, you should totally cook me some too. Becky --> im hungry now Betty --> Everyone come over for cheeseburgers! Bob --> But I live in Arkansas Betty --> That's ok! ETC,ETC,ETC... Yet, when someone posts something life-changing and specifically insightful, they are ignored? It makes no sense to me. Apparently you have to be an idiot to be related to. (This is why I love you guys, you make me happy by NOT posting that inane crap). |
